PLEASANT HILL, Ore. — Eugene Urgent Care’s newest location in Pleasant Hill urgent care opened on Tuesday. Doctors say they added this clinic because there’s a need for medical care providers in Pleasant Hill.
Doctors say they can treat everything from broken bones to lacerations and sprains, and also give out flu shots.
It’s a welcome sight for people who live in the area, who say there aren’t many options for medical care in the small town.
“Currently the closest medical services are in Thurston in Springfield or Eugene, so we’ve been needing some choices for medical care for quite a few years and have never had anybody interested,” said Beth Sprague.
“We have a lot of people that come from this area, part of the Southern Willamette Valley. So we realize there was a need in this area and the community was asking for a medical facility here so any group collaborating with the community and providing the services is much needed,” said Dr. Alex Morley.
It took about six months to construct the new facility but the community is happy to have an urgent care center treatment option closer to home.
The clinic expects patients will travel from as far as Oakridge for their services.
